From The Hills to the beach: Stephanie Pratt hits Hawaii for a family holiday... without brother Spencer

She was a long way from the Hollywood hills but reality TV star Stephanie Pratt looked happy to be relaxing at the beach in Hawaii on a family holiday.

The 25-year-old former personality on The Hills was spotted frolicking in a mix and match bikini in the Pacific Ocean.

But despite being on a family holiday, her brother and former co-star Spencer Pratt was nowhere to be seen.

Instead she had some alone time with her parents and tweeted yesterday: ‘Just went paddle-boarding w my dad-im obsessed!!! SO FUN.’

And luckily Stephanie brought a range of bikinis to wear on her vacation, as she has already lost one of her swimsuits.

She tweeted: ‘Left my bikini bottoms on balcony to dry and they blew away! LOL.’

Stephanie rose to fame on the MTV reality show in 2007 as Spencer’s angry sister, who battled a series of personal problems such as being arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Miss Pratt, who is also Heidi Montag’s sister-in-law, famously fell out with her brother on the show after a series of bitter feuds.

So it was no surprise that Spencer and his wife Heidi didn’t join the Pratt family in Hawaii.

Since leaving The Hills when the series came to an end in 2010, Stephanie has played herself in The Spin Crowd but has failed to pick up another permanent role on a hit show.

She has also been open about battling with her body image and said while filming The Hills: ‘I was horrified. I remember saying, I can’t believe how huge I look walking over to Lauren.

‘The producers never put pressure on us to lose weight, but it’s embarrassing working with skinny girls.’

But the blonde, who has battled with bulimia and substance abuse problems in the past, looked healthy and happy on her recent trip.

She was arrested for the DUI in October 2009 and subsequently checked into a rehab facility for a 30 day residential programme.

In an interview with US Weekly in 2007 she also revealed that she had a problem with shoplifting in the past.

Stephanie discussed one incident in which she shoplifted $1,300 worth of merchandise from the up-scale department store Niemen Marcus, in Honolulu in 2006, while working as a production assistant on the hit show Lost.
