But not everyone is enjoying the memories, least of all the royal couple.

Private moments from the couple's jaunt in Seychelles' luxurious North Island last May are splashed throughout the pages of Woman's Day, an Australian tabloid, and spreading like wildfire on the internet.

For the palace, it's a symbol of broken trust, and a media betrayal that resonates in the royal family's tragic history.

But for one anonymous photographer staked out during their May escape, it could have meant a major payday.

"Any shot of them on their honeymoon was going to go for at least half a million but because Kate is in a bikini I would estimate that this is a million dollar shot," celebrity business journalist Jo Piazza, tells Yahoo! Shine.
Woman's Day hasn't confirmed any details on how they obtained the photos or for how much.
According to The Daily Beast's Tom Sykes, suspicion has turned to UK tabloid photographers, blamed in the past for shirking off privacy requests for a high-profile story.

As to the delay in releasing the photos, Sykes speculates: "whoever secretly commissioned the photos then had second thoughts about alienating the Palace, and the photographer was then forced to wait out an exclusivity period before selling them."

The delay hasn't softened the blow for the royal couple, who are reportedly distraught over the publication.

'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's honeymoon was obviously a private occasion, and we would ask people to respect their privacy," a St. James Palace rep told CelebBuzz.

Painstaking efforts went into preserving the newlyweds' privacy in the weeks after their internationally scrutinized wedding.

Not even Kate knew their honeymoon destination until the last minute, according to Marie Claire. Despite all that, the location of their beachside retreat in Seychelles North Island was promptly discovered by international press. Out of respect for the couple, and Prince William's late mother, the media largely promised to respect the couple's wishes for privacy with a "blackout" during their 10-day jaunt.

Coast guard patrols and security surrounding their $5000 a night bungalow provided extra protection from prying eyes.

But newly published grainy paparazzi photos, of Middleton in a black, skimpy bikini walking hand-in-hand with her shirtless husband on the beach, proved otherwise.

The image on the magazine's cover of the Aussie magazine shows a blissed-out couple, holding snorkeling gear, clueless to any member of the press hidden nearby.

15 additional images of Kate and Will swimming and relaxing fill the pages inside the issue.

Paparazzi hiding out in dunes with long lens-equipped cameras are commonplace for high-profile celebrities on vacation, but because of scrutiny over the media's role in Lady Di's tragic death, Kate and Will have been granted more privacy.

But not everyone is surprised by the photos. "Someone was going to break it," says Piazza, author of author of Celebrity Inc.: How Celebrities Make Money. "Media blackouts rarely work. It was just a matter of who had the most financial incentive."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were said to be ‘surprised and upset’ last night after beach photographs of their honeymoon appeared in an Australian magazine.


The pictures – printed on the front cover of Woman’s Day magazine – show them strolling hand-in-hand wearing only swimwear on a beach in the Seychelles.


The images have since appeared on news websites and blogs, although most British publications are still refusing to show them.

The move has dismayed the couple. ‘They feel it is a significant invasion of a very private, special time,’ a source said. Until now, no pictures of their honeymoon have been published because the media made a collective agreement not to print them.

But more than a year later, the unauthorised photographs have been splashed across the front of Australia’s top selling weekly magazine.


The cover photograph shows the Duchess of Cambridge in a black halter-neck bikini with gold detail, while Prince William is seen in a bright pair of board shorts. Inside there are another 15 pictures – some of which show the couple in the water. The headline, Our Island Paradise, wrongly appears to suggest the couple approved the publication.

A St James’s Palace spokesman said: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge considered their honeymoon to be a very private event after their hugely public wedding. 

‘For this reason they asked the media to respect their privacy. That is something they continue to do.’


Last night, the editors of Woman’s Day magazine did not respond to requests for comment.


When the newly-weds jetted off on their 10-day romantic break to the Seychelles last year, there was an unofficial agreement among news organisations that they wouldn't print or publish photos of them on their holiday.

The publication of the honeymoon photos is likely to rile the Duke of Cambridge especially, as he has been trying to protect his new wife from press intrusion following the death of his mother Diana in a Paris car crash in 1997. 

It is unclear why the magazine, owned by ACP Magazines, has chosen to publish the images now. Editors have not yet responded for comment.

The couple stayed in a £4,000-a-night-bungalow on North Island in May last year after marrying on April 29. 


Their villa had its own butler, an open-air bathroom area with sunken bath and shower, a private garden and a wooden deck with freshwater rock pool and yoga pavilion.

It is understood that William arranged a surprise sunset cruise and asked the resort to set up a champagne picnic on one of the island’s most secluded beaches during their stay.

They first visited the Seychelles in August 2007 when they stayed on Desroches, 150 miles south west of the Seychelles' main island Mahe, for a week-long break. It was reported that William told islanders the Desroches trip was the best holiday he had ever had.

The four-mile long island, blanketed by coconut groves, has only a handful of luxury villas, each with stunning views across the warm Indian Ocean. 


It's not the first time an Australian magazine has got into trouble with the Royals. 


In 2008 there was a 'media blackout' and the British media officially agreed with St James's Palace not to publish the fact Prince Harry was serving in Afghanistan.

However, he hastily left the warzone after Australia's New Idea magazine broke a global media promise not to declare his presence in the country, as did a U.S. news website.

When the news was revealed there were fears it could increase the danger to him and his fellow soldiers.

Prince Harry - who is known as Captain Wales in the Army - was serving as a forward air controller operating in Helmand province and co-ordinated air support and aviation across the area, calling in jets to drop bombs on enemy targets.

'We did not knowingly breach any embargo and were not party to any agreement for a media blackout on the story,' said New Idea in a short apology at the time. 


Few people noticed the initial report in New Idea, but a scandal erupted after the U.S. website the Drudge Report picked up the story and broadcast it internationally.

Plus, as we all know, Sofia's not one to hide her figure anyway. "I'm a woman, but I'm super-exaggerated with my boobs, my ass, my makeup, and my accent," she once told the Advocate. She also explained to Redbook, "The thing is, I've had these ridiculous huge boobs since I was super young. Like, 13. I was really skinny at that time, so it was weird to have those f---ing boobs and be skinny. It was hideous. Then after I had my kids, I got hips and everything started to come together."

Vanessa Bryant likely to gain windfall in divorce from Kobe Bryant

Vanessa Bryant, who filed for divorce Friday from Lakers star Kobe Bryant, is likely to receive a windfall in the couple's final settlement, which is expected sometime next year.

Attorney Dmitry Gorin said that generally speaking, Vanessa Bryant would be due half of Kobe Bryant's net worth during their marriage and joint custody of their daughters.

She will also get considerable spousal support, like "more than enough for many lifetimes"  Gorin said.
Though details of the settlement were not in the document, Vanessa Bryant's mother, Sofia Urbieta Laine, previously told a Times reporter that the couple had no prenuptial agreement. She told The Times in 2005 that the couple chose to forgo one after months of negotiations. The court filing Friday indicated that property rights were to be determined. 

The Bryants are reported to be worth at least $150 million. Without a prenup, Gorin said Vanessa would be due about half that amount.

In the petition filed Friday, Vanessa Bryant cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce. In what appears to be an effort to keep the details of their split out of the public eye, the couple said in a joint statement late Friday that they had "resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately."

But the final judgment dissolving their marriage will be entered sometime next year, representatives for the couple said.

Vanessa Bryant and her attorney had signed the petition Dec. 1, long before it was filed Friday. Her husband's response was signed Dec. 7. Both sides requested joint custody of their daughters Natalia, 8, and Gianna, 5.

ISLAMABAD -- A Pakistani actress who posed in the nude for an Indian magazine with the initials of Pakistan's feared and powerful intelligence agency on her arm has triggered fury across this conservative nation.

Veena Malik's photo on the website of FHM India, in advance of its publication in the magazine's December issue, has been lighting up social network websites since earlier this week.

Many here anticipate a backlash, as nationalists and Islamists regularly stage rallies against anything they deem an insult to Islam or to the national honor. India and Pakistan have fought three wars, and the Inter-Services Intelligence agency or ISI has been accused of sponsoring terrorist attacks inside India.

Malik has broken Pakistani religious and national taboos in the past. She is a target for conservative ire and a heroine to some Pakistani liberals.

Conservative cleric Maulana Abdul Qawi declared on Aaj TV on Saturday that her latest venture into controversy was a "shame for all Muslims."

In an interview with Pakistani Geo television broadcast Saturday, however, Malik said the nude photo was published in violation of her agreement with FHM India and she was considering legal action against the magazine.

Malik acknowledged having been photographed for a "bold but not nude shot." She said the editor of the magazine had promised that he would cover most of the photo with the ISI initials.

The photo was intended to poke fun at the Indian fear of Pakistani spies, she said, adding "whatever happens (in India), people say ISI is behind that."

Magazine editor Kabeer Sharma said Malik had given full consent for the shoot and the picture.

"We have all the record(s)," he told the Pakistani television station. "Veena was very excited about that ISI idea."

Zubair Khan, a 40-year-old shopkeeper in the northwestern city of Peshawar, agreed, saying the photo had given rival India another opportunity to insult Pakistan.

"She has earned a bad name for the entire Pakistan nation," he said.

Others questioned the authenticity of the photo.

"It seems to be an Indian attempt to malign Pakistan by faking her nude pics, or she might have done it to get a cheap publicity," said Lubna Khalid, 38, a housewife in the southern port city of Karachi.

Twitter commentator Umair Javed however called on Pakistanis to "make copies of the picture and bury it in your backyard. This way, our grandkids will know there were some amongst us who lived free!"

Asked by reporters whether Pakistan would "pursue the matter" legally, the country's Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Saturday, "First, let us see whether it is real or fake."

Malik does most of her work in India. The entertainment sector there is booming, while Pakistan's is moribund. Her ties to Pakistan's archrival have landed her in controversy in the past.

During a much-publicized talk show appearance early this year, she lashed out her nemesis Abdul Qawi, who criticized her for having a scripted love affair with an Indian actor on an Indian reality show.

"What is your problem with me?" an angry Malik demanded of the scholar, who had accused her of insulting Islam.

I don’t think guys realize that if we are there on the date, we like you. So please, loosen up. I’m the kind of girl who doesn’t like to make the first move, since I’m too nervous myself!

MM: And how do you deal with that?
SP: I usually text or call one of my girlfriends, and they calm me down. Last week, I called my friend after the doorbell rang and screamed: “He’s at the front door! What should I do?” And they’re like, “Answer the door, stupid!” And then I really know how much I need to calm way, way down.

MM: Is a scary movie a good first date?
SP: I think so, why not? It’s a classic first-date move—the girl gets afraid and the guy gets the chance to cuddle her so she’s not scared. And then you both can bond over it and talk about all the scary parts.

MM: If a guy cooked for you on a date, you’d be impressed?
SP: Most definitely. That would be a big plus. And I’d cook for him too, just not on the first date. He’d have to earn that.

MM: What’s a scary thing a guy can do that will make you never want to see him again?
SP: I had a guy cry on the first date, and that was terrifying. He was older than me so I wasn’t expecting it. He said that he hadn’t felt this way in a very long time. I felt bad, but I was just like, “Dude, you are crying, and you don’t even know me.” Needless to say, I never saw him again.

MM: Would you still date a guy who is afraid of spiders?
SP: Yes! I definitely would. I’ve been on dates where I went to the bathroom and saw a spider and asked the guy to kill it and his response was, “You do it!” And I was like, “But you’re the guy?!?” But I would still date the guy. That’s not a good enough reason to run away.

MM: Meanwhile, a lot of guys are afraid of commitment, but often it’s the girls’ issue too.
SP: I think the fear is there because the person has been burned from a previous relationship. It takes time to heal, and everyone has their own process. If you’ve met someone who is hesitating to get further involved, take it slow for a while. If it’s right, it will develop on its own.

MM: Scariest pickup line you’ve heard?
SP: I was in Hawaii, walking on the beach at night with my cousins. This guy came up and said, “Did it hurt?” And I said, “What?” And he said the cheesiest line I have ever heard: “When you fell from heaven, did it hurt?” It was so horrible. Guys, definitely come up with something original if you are going to approach a girl!

Entertainment Lindsay Lohan Scores Big Payday for Nude Photo Shoot in Playboy

How do you rid your mind of nasty images of blood, guts and gore after working an eight-hour clean-up detail at the county morgue?

If you're Lindsay Lohan, you pose for nasty pictures in Playboy magazine!

Lohan, fresh off her first stint of community service at the LA County Morgue last week, participated in a nude photo shoot for Hugh Hefner's skin mag, according to TMZ.

Playboy has helped launch, sustain, and perhaps tarnish several celebrity careers.

Lohan wanted $1 million from Hefner to drop her drawers, but multiple reports say she settled in the $750,000 to $900,000 range, more than enough to keep her up-and-down lifestyle on the ups, at least temporarily.

E! Online reports the shoot is taking place in a Beverly Hills mansion.

Classy.

It has been an eventful seven days, even for Lohan, who had her probation revoked, was initially turned away from court-ordered service at the L.A. County morgue for arriving too late, came on time the following day, and then fired her manager.

The troubled starlet was concerned that manager Lou Taylor, who lives in Tennessee and also manages Britney Spears, does not spend enough time on her affairs -- and she wants to hire someone who can give her more attention.

It is not clear if Taylor set up the Playboy shoot before he was fired.

Lohan's publicist, Steve Honing, said that Taylor's departure was perfectly amicable and that Lohan and Taylor were still on good terms.

German designer Philipp Plein, who paid Lohan $500,000 to represent his fashion line, is standing by the star.

“I chose Lindsay Lohan as the face of my 2012 collection because, aside from being talented and beautiful, she is unconventional, unpredictable, full of surprises and far from boring…which perfectly reflects the spirit of my collection,” he told Fox411.com in a statement. “I look forward to completing our project together, and trust that she will be able to resolve her legal issues as soon as possible.”

Lohan, 25, is due back in court on Nov. 2 for a probation-violation hearing that could wind up with her heading to the slammer.

So, it is feasible her Playboy issue could come out while Lohan is behind bars.
