Is house arrest helping Lindsay Lohan land more gigs? Actress films advertisement in confines of her Venice beach home

It seems that Lindsay Lohan is having more luck landing gigs whilst she is under house arrest.

In a studious turn for the party-loving actress, the 24-year-old has been indulging in a bit of work as she continues to be forced to stay in the confines of her Venice Beach home.

Lindsay has filmed a 15-second commercial for Internet auction site Beezid.com.

In the advertisement for the a penny auction site, Lindsay is seen sitting on her leather living room couch wearing a demure white blouse, black trousers teamed with a large choker necklace.

A poster of the actress is also seen in the background featuring Lindsay toting a large gun.

In the ad, the actress refers to her time under house arrest.

'Hey, all my friends,' she says.

''I just wanted to share with you that during some of my time at home, I found this amazing site with great deals: It’s called Beezid.com.'

It has been revealed that Lindsay's appearance in the short advertisement came for a hefty pretty penny.

The actress initially turned down an offer of a healthy $25,000, but reneged after the company threw in an additional $10,000 in credit for the actress to use on the site, according to E! News.

Lindsay is expected to serve another one and a half weeks at her $1.4m rented home.

Today, a bamboo fence was erected around the actress's roof top courtyard, to give her some more privacy.

It comes after the Lindsay was spotted on her eighteenth day under house arrest, throwing a party.

Earlier in the month, Lindsay invited a group of friends around to her Venice Beach home for a rooftop BBQ.

She could be seen laughing as she had a great afternoon with her pals while smoking cigarettes and smooching with a mystery man.

The Mean Girls star even found time to change outfits, first sporting some daisy duke denim shorts and a blue patterned summery top showing off her legs.

Then, as the sun went down and the temperatures cooled, she changed into a black dress showing off her cleavage.

However, Lindsay did prove to be the perfect host by providing sweaters and blankets for her guests, and at one point laid out a blanket on a sofa bed.

The were more male friends at the party than female guests and there was one male friend she paid more attention to, giving him a hug when he arrived, then lying in his lap later on.

There were around ten of her friends who joined Lohan chilling at her Venice beach pad and lots of drinks provided.

Probation officials were called out to Lohan's home recently after her electronic monitoring bracelet sounded an alarm.

But officers found the troubled actress relaxing on her rooftop patio reading scripts, posing for photographs and watching her television.

The Machete star is under house arrest for 35 days after she was convicted of shoplifting a necklace from a Venice jewellery store in January.

As part of her punishment she has been ordered to wear a clunky electronic anklet that is connected to a base unit in her house and alerts the authorities if she leaves the premises or grounds.

It remains unclear as to why the bracelet was activated around three weeks ago.

'They came as part of standard procedure to make sure the monitoring equipment was working properly,' Lohan’s spokesperson Steve Honig told the Los Angeles Times in a statement at the time.

Under the terms of her house arrest, Lohan is allowed visitors but cannot consume alcohol or narcotics and is subject to random tests if officials desire, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore informed the newspaper.
