Relates to this case, Citibank already worked together with the police. This United States based foreign bank already fired MD and D from Citibank. “The staffs who involved on the banking crime case are no longer working with us. Considering that this case is still in the investigation process, we cannot give any further comment,” she said.
Senior Standard Chartered Economist Fauzi Ichsan said that the fraud risk can cause the broke banking. It is because the banking need to suffer from loss that caused by the fraud. “If the total reaches Rp. 170 billions, the bank can get broke,” Fauzi said.
According to him, banking industry is one of the high fraud risk industries. “Corporate banking policy has the highest risk,” he said.
