In the most idiotic ad lawsuit from a celebrity since Lindsay Lohan sued E*Trade for uttering the word Lindsay, Kim Kardashian is reportedly suing Old Navy for using a model who looks like her in ads. We've written about the Kardashian doppelganger before—her name is Melissa Molinaro. Kardashian claims Old Navy is intentionally misleading the public into thinking she's the endorser, not Molinaro, by doing things like pointing out the resemblance on Twitter. She's asking for $15 million to $20 million, reports TMZ. One possible reason for Kardashian's action is that Molinaro recently made things personal by dating Kardashian's ex, Reggie Bush. UPDATE: In a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Kardashian says: "I've worked hard to support the products I'm personally involved with and that I believe in." Her intellectual property attorney Gary Hecker adds: "Kim Kardashian is immediately recognizable, and is known for her look and style. Her identity and persona are valuable. When her intellectual property rights are violated, she intends to enforce them."
