Kristen Stewart: Shooting Sex Scenes With Robert Pattinson Was "Surreal

The original sex scenes between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 were much too racy for moviegoers, according to the film's leading lady.

"We originally got rated R," Stewart, 21, tells the December issue of Glamour UK. "They recut it."

The headboard-breaking, pillow-biting honeymoon romp was a new experience for Stewart and her real-life love, 25. "There are two big sex scenes in the two [final] films, and we did them fairly early," she says. "It was so weird."

"It didn't even feel like we were doing a scene within a Twilight film," she explains. "I was like, 'Bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?!' It was very surreal."

Stewart says the watered-down theatrical version makes sense, given the Twilight franchise's younger fan base. "[The ratings board] knows who our audience is, and can be like, 'Hmmm guys, just cool it a little.' It's funny because in the book, you don't see anything. It's everyone's imagination, so it's entirely subjective. I hope it's good!"

The actress adds that she was equally nervous when the time came to film the highly-anticipated wedding scene.

"I had to be shrouded in secrecy the entire two days of filming. It was crazy," she laughs. "I was on full lockdown, as if I was wearing millions of dollars worth of diamonds, and I'm so excited for the wedding dress to be revealed.

"It was one of those moments you go, 'This is something to remember,' and you want to put yourself in the experience so that it doesn't pass you by," she gushes. "It ended up being great for everyone, I think."

Kirstie Alley Calls Letterman Out for All the Fat Jokes He's Told About Her (VIDEO)

It was all fun and games for David Letterman all those times he was cracking jokes about Kirstie Alley's weight on 'Late Show'(Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). Remember this one?

"Kirstie Alley joining 'Dancing With the Stars.' If you don't already own one, now might be a good time to get a wide screen TV."

Kirstie Alley does, and she brought notes of several of his cracks at her expense for her appearance on his show.

Letterman said he felt he had her implied approval, since she'd said "it's okay" about them on an earlier appearance. "I said it's okay, so that was like go ahead and tell 50 of them?" she asked.

He really had no come back for this, though he tried. "We do love you and if you were skinny we would tell jokes about you-- No, probably not."

Even if this exchange was in jest, and it surely was at least on some level, it does raise an interesting question about why weight joke are so acceptable in a society that's so sensitive about jokes that single out any other specific groups of people.

Original 'Spy Kids' All Grown Up

Robert Rodriguez is ginning up a reboot of his hugely profitable "Spy Kids" franchise. This one has a new crew of kids along with Jessica Alba and Joel McHale. It also features a return of the original main characters -- Carmen and Juni Cortez (Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara) -- only they aren't kids anymore. Call them Spy Young Adults.

In the first movie -- which came out way back in 2001 -- Carmen and Juni had no clue that their seemingly dull parents (played by Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) were actually semiretired members of the Organization of Super Spies. They quickly learned the truth, needless to say, and soon were members of the OSS themselves.

In "Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World," which comes out later this summer, Carmen and Juni are still with the OSS and give the new kids -- Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook) -- some pointers and much needed spy gadgets in their battle against the fiendish Timekeeper.

Since the last "Spy Kids" movie came out in 2003, Daryl Sabara and Alexa Vega have been quietly building their grown-up movie careers. Daryl has appeared in episodes of "Weeds" and "Criminal Minds," and he's set to play a major role in the upcoming sci-fi spectacular "John Carter of Mars."

Alexa Vega starred in "Repo! The Genetic Opera" alongside Paris Hilton, and this year she was the lead in the comedy "From Prada to Nada" opposite Camilla Belle and Wilmer Valderrama. She also recently married producer Sean Covel. The Spy Kids have indeed grown up.

"Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World" opens on August 19. In the meantime, check out the exclusive trailer below.
